Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As President of the ISBI it is a great honor for me to invite you to participate in the 15th Congress of the ISBI in Istanbul, Turkey.  This meeting marks the 50th anniversary of ISBI’s beginning at the International Congress on Burn Research held in Bethesda, Maryland in 1960.

As in our previous ISBI congresses, there will be several plenary, concurrent and poster sessions with topics of interest for every participant in every professional category of the multi-disciplinary burn care team.  The tremendous  efforts both  the  local  organizing  committee  and  the  Program  committee, comprised of international

leaders in burn care, are committed to providing a program that reflects current problems and represents a collection of scientific, educational, and practical information.  The program format encourages interactions that are truly international.

In addition to the scientific program, the social program will provide an opportunity to experience the culture, ancient history, and architecture Istanbul has to offer. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to renew friendships and develop relationships with colleagues of similar mind that will be valuable in future care of those with burn injury.

A highly motivated and very strong, local organizing committee is dedicated to making this meeting in Istanbul both memorable and scientifically exceptional.
