  Prof.Dr. Wulf SCHUBERT / Graz University of Technology
  Wulf Shubert graduated from Civil Engineering Faculty, Graz University of Technology. He received his PhD from the Mining University Leoben. He has been working for 12 years for an international consulting company on a large number of projects, mainly tunnels for roads, railways and metros, caverns, mines, and slopes around the world as designer, Engineer, and consultant. Since 1992 he is head of the Institute for Rock Mechanics and Tunnelling at the Graz University of Technology. The focus of his research is on tunnelling in poor and faulted ground, ground characterization and monitoring. He is past Vice President of the ISRM and currently president of the Austrian Society for Geomechanics.
     
  Bernhard KOHLBÖCK / IGT Consulting Engineers
  Bernhard Kohlböck graduated from Civil Engineering Faculty, Vienna University of Technology. He started his career at IGT Consulting Engineers in Salzburg in 2002 as a project engineer. Since 2012 he is Director and Partner of the company. With more than 13 years of experience in tunnelling projects in Austria and abroad and partially under difficult geological conditions, Mr. Kohlböck is responsible for detailed design as well as overall project management. Besides his activity at IGT he is a member of professional associations and author of numerous publications.
     
  Alfred FASCHING / 3G Gruppe Geotechnik Graz ZT GmbH
  Alfred FASCHING graduated in Engineering Geology from the Graz University in 1987 (MSc). Following a 9 year employment in an international consulting company, he was researcher at the Institute for Rock Mechanics and Tunnelling, Graz University of Technology, receiving his PhD in 2000. Since 20 years he is professional engineer and since 15 years managing director of 3G Gruppe Geotechnik Graz ZT GmbH, an international consulting company. He has experience in the design of underground investigation programs, ground modeling, rock mass characterization and consulting services during construction for projects in soft ground as well as hard, squeezing and bursting rock.
     
  Hanns WAGNER / OBB, Austrian Federal Railways
  Hanns Wagner finished his studies in civil engineering at the Graz University of Technology with the Masters degree. Since 2007 he is working in an expert role on the large tunnel projects of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). His present focus is on the double tube Koralm tunnel (33km), double tube tunnel chain Granitztal (6km) and several shorter tunnels of the tunnel chain St. Kanzian, which are all situated in lacustrine clay.
